Designing fintech experiences from insight to impact.

Hi, I'm Maribel Sosa, a Product Designer working on complex digital products across fintech, e-commerce, and AI-driven experiences. My work combines systems thinking, behavioral insight, and visual craft to create products that drive trust, usability, and measurable business impact.

§ 01

Selected work

A handful of projects where research, strategy, and craft compounded into measurable outcomes. Each case study is written as I'd present it in a portfolio review.

§ 02

How I work

Three principles that shape every project I take on, from discovery to launch.

01

Research before pixels.

Every interface I ship is grounded in evidence. I run quantitative surveys to size the problem and qualitative interviews to understand the why. The Stori referral redesign started with a single insight from six interviews — users felt ashamed to refer — that reframed the entire program.

02

Reframe, don't just refine.

Senior design isn't faster pixel pushing — it's questioning whether the brief is right. The best contribution I made on Stori wasn't a screen. It was the strategic shift from a competitive leaderboard to a mission-based system, which unlocked +22.85% growth.

03

Design for the metric that matters.

I've worked in growth squads, where every screen has a target. I'm fluent in conversion funnels, retention cohorts, and post-launch surveys. I write success criteria before I open Figma, and I measure what I shipped.

About

I'm a Product Designer who turns complex product challenges into clear, scalable experiences. My background spans fintech, commerce, and growth — environments where rigor meets accountability.

I'm currently at Mercado Libre, designing security experiences across Mercado Libre and Mercado Pago — web and mobile. It's high-stakes, cross-platform work: the kind where clarity isn't a nice-to-have, it's what keeps people's money and trust intact.

I work end-to-end with product and engineering teams — framing problems through research, translating insight into systems, and shipping decisions that move both user experience and product performance. I'm open to Product Designer Specialist roles where that approach can compound.

Let's design something worth shipping.

Let's build something great together. Always open to new ideas, interesting products, and thoughtful collaborations.
